Molly Brown works from her studio in the old tractor workshop on a Borders farm. Drawing and printmaking are the foundations of her artistic practice and she uses them to investigate land based labour, agricultural practices and ecological thinking. She is co-lead of The Landing Project: a two year art project about farming in the UK.

Molly worked for ten years in sustainable agriculture and food growing before turning to creative work in 2018 and brings a strong interest in ecology, plant sciences and agriculture to her printmaking. Since graduating from her MFA in 2022 she has been awarded both the Printmaking Today State of the Art Graduate Award and the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers Gwen May Graduate Award.

Molly runs courses and residencies with particular emphasis on historic and future land use issues. In addition to her work as an artist she runs a 7 acre agroforestry test plot along with her partner. This was set up for data collection on carbon sequestration, biodiversity and food production and she takes artistic inspiration from these growing activities.
