Etched Lino Workshop

TWO DATES: 5th & 6th or 11th & 12th October 10am - 4pm

£170 including all materials

This workshop will introduce the exciting possibilities of using caustic soda solution to etch the surface of traditional lino. This dynamic method provides opportunities for gestural mark making alongside traditional carving and produces spirited and expressive prints.

Over two days at Berllan Deg Studio, participants will be introduced to methods of preparing the etching solution, using different masks and resists and working directly on the plate to produce a wide range of marks and textures. Molly will introduce you to the methods she has been honing over the last two years as part of her Masters research and you will leave with all the skills necessary to push the boundaries of your relief printing practice.
